Get to know me

Born and raised in Europe to an English engineer father and an American photojournalist mother, I found my creative talents at a young age starting with arts and crafts before I could barely hold a paintbrush. Influenced by both the technical and creative influences of my parents,  I was frequently found drawing, collecting ‘bits and pieces’ to create pictures, posters, displays, projects and gifts. By the age of 5 I won first place in a regional art contest with my artwork exhibited at the world famous Mathildenhohe, the center of the Art Nouveau movement in Darmstadt, Germany.

Educated in the German school system until age 18, I had the advantage of many years of German, French, Spanish and Italian languages as well as a rich heritage of living in Germany and England while traveling and experiencing numerous European countries which had a profound impression on me. After moving to America in 1994, I  enrolled in the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul, MN having won a four-year achievement scholarship. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1999 and immersed myself in the work force and was encouraged to become a leader, grow and think outside of the box.

In 2002 I moved to Seattle, Washington to be surrounded by the creative spirit that permeates the Northwest. In 2006 I started Divine Fusion Design studio to live out my passion for design.

I am currently working with Microsoft (via Filter) on the newest Office for Mac Suite  and OneNote for iPhone and iPad and accepting select freelance opportunities. Given the nature of my current work, I will not be able to post any visual designs until after the product release.

I have served on the College of Visual Arts Board of Alumni in St. Paul, MN, taught art classes to children and adults, earned awards and recognition in creative and leadership categories and have taught and mentored numerous young people from all walks of life for many years both in Europe and in the United States. I spend my Saturday mornings mentoring children as part of the Metro Kidz Outreach program of the South Sound Dream Center.
